Gravid vecka 11

Pregnant week 11

If you could see inside your stomach, you would now see small, small hairs emerging on your child's eyebrows and upper lip, so-called lanugobeh-hair!

FULL ACTIVITY AT PREGNANCY WEEK 11

Your child is now an impressive 4 cm from head to toe, about the size of a smaller tomato. During this week there is full activity in there. The neurons continue to multiply, although there is still no connection between them in the brain quite yet. In the spinal cord, on the other hand, the neural pathways begin to be put in place in and around the baby's muscles. This means that your baby will soon be showing off reflex movements in there.

A SIGNIFICANT WEIGHT GAIN IS PERFECTLY NORMAL

Now the pants are possibly getting a little tight at the waist and the bra is getting a little too tight. Most pregnant women have gained 1-2 kg at week 11. Interestingly, the child itself constitutes the smallest part of the weight gain. He or she is still a lightweight of about 10 grams. Most of the weight consists of your uterus as a plant as well as the placenta and amniotic fluid.

CALCIUM & VITAMIN D IS IMPORTANT WHEN YOU ARE PREGNANT AT WEEK 11

To keep your bone mass in good condition, it is important that you eat foods that guarantee you and your baby to get enough calcium. In addition to milk and dairy products, you will find calcium in green leafy vegetables (such as spinach) and in sesame seeds. Some tap water is rich in calcium, especially "hard" water. First of all, it is important that you get calcium and vitamin D through the food, if that is not enough, you may need to take vitamin supplements. Discuss with your midwife what you need.

EVERYTHING DOESN'T TASTE NORMAL - HERE ARE SOME TIPS

Do you feel like you've been replacing your taste buds lately? Nothing tastes normal, things you've liked before have become disgusting and things you haven't liked before now give you cravings? It's perfectly normal! Especially food with a strong smell is usually repugnant like this in the first trimester. Ignore that food and choose something else that gives you about the same nutritional content. The most important thing is to vary your diet so that you get the vitamins and essential fatty acids you need.
